It has been
discovered that creativity can be fostered by training. It is
possible to train a child to develop creativity. If freedom
of exploration and decision is granted to a child, he starts
moving towards creativity. The child should be suitably rewarded
and encouraged for his new achievements. The main components
of creativity are: cognition involving discovery, awareness,
recognition, comprehension or understanding, memory, involving
retention and storage of information, divergent thinking. Which
involves the generation of information from given information,
convergent thinking, where the emphasis is on use of given information
to produce the best response, and evaluation, or reaching decisions
or making judgements concerning the correctness, suitability,
adequacy and desirability of information in terms of criteria
of identity, consistency and goal satisfaction.
